DESTINY+ Dust Analyzer

EM Model Integration of DDA Sensorhead Successful

The EM model mechanics of the DDA sensorhead developed by IRS and the EM electronics developed by vH&S were successfully integrated at the IRS cleanroom facilities. First benchtests showed promising results. Now the sensorhead will be placed inside the vacuum chamber and the whole DDA team is anxiously awaiting the results of the first dust impact.

DDA is a German contribution under DLR funding to the DESTINY+ mission by JAXA. It is a joint development by the Institute of Space Systems (IRS) at the University of Stuttgart and the von Hoerner & Sulger GmbH (vH&S).
