CONE

Sounding rocket instrument

CONE is a sounding rocket instrument with an ionization gauge for in-situ measurement of fine scale neutral density fluctuations in the upper atmosphere between 60km and 120km altitude. It also measures the density of the charged particles, free electrons and ions.

The CONE experiment has been built by vH&S for the Leibniz-Institute for Atmospheric Physics in Kühlungsborn, Germany.
